Let’s Discuss Your Project

A Clear Timeline From Kickoff to Opening Day

Typical delivery windows vary by scale and customization. But most projects launch in 15-25 weeks from initial contract to opening.

1

Design & Proposal

After initial consultation, we prepare and present the project proposal. This stage typically takes 2-5 weeks and may include multiple review and revision rounds before contract signing.
2

Workshop Fabrication

Fabrication timeline depends on project scale and typically takes 3-8 weeks.
3

International Logistics

Shipping from our facility in China to your destination port, including customs clearance, typically takes 2-6 weeks depending on region.
4

Onsite Installation

Onsite installation generally takes 1-4 weeks, based on project size and the number of team members deployed. Special site conditions may extend the schedule.
5

Festival Period

The typical exhibition period runs for 6-12 weeks, depending on your seasonal strategy and venue operations.
6

De-installation

De-installation and removal are typically completed within 1-2 weeks after the festival closes.

FAQ on Project Execution

How far in advance should we start planning a Lantern Festival?

We recommend starting the planning process as early as possible, especially for larger or more customized projects. Early planning allows more time for concept development, site evaluation, scheduling, production coordination, shipping arrangements, and installation preparation.

For projects with more complex themes, larger sites, or seasonal opening targets, beginning discussions several months in advance is often the best approach. A longer planning window also makes it easier to align the festival with the venue’s operational calendar, staffing needs, and marketing schedule.

How long does on-site installation usually take?

On-site installation time depends on the scale of the project, the number of lantern installations, site access conditions, and the overall layout complexity. In general, installation usually takes about 7 to 15 days for most projects.

Larger projects or venues with more challenging site conditions may require additional time. In some cases, certain oversized lantern installations cannot be efficiently transported in standard shipping containers, even after being partially dismantled. When that happens, we may recommend building those specific pieces near the site instead of transporting them fully finished.

If on-site building is required for certain large installations, the overall setup period may increase accordingly. The final installation schedule is typically confirmed during the planning stage, once the site layout, production scope, transportation method, and logistics arrangements have been determined.

Do you provide installation guidance instead of full installation service?

Yes. In many cases, we can provide installation guidance instead of sending a dedicated on-site installation team. This approach can help reduce travel and labor costs by allowing the client’s own staff to carry out much of the installation work with support from our technical team.

For most lantern installations, our technicians can guide the client’s team through the setup process and provide the necessary instructions to ensure the installations are assembled correctly. Only a small number of more complex or oversized pieces may require more specialized handling. This makes guided installation a practical and cost-effective option for many projects.
